Street Law Section

Modeled on a project started in 1972 at Georgetown University’s Faculty of Law, volunteers of the AMU Legal Clinic share their knowledge with students of Poznań schools. During the free workshops, issues are presented that enable participants to confront legal problems arising in everyone’s everyday life. The topics of the speeches refer to current events, the background for which are institutions of various branches of law – from civil law, through administrative law to criminal law.

The initiative was launched by the Student Legal Clinic at the Faculty of Law and Administration of UAM in 2019 and is proudly continued by it’s successor, the AMU Legal Clinic.

The classes, which are enriched with interactive tasks that encourage students to express their opinions and thoughts, shape not only their knowledge of basic legal issues, but also develop their interpersonal skills. In case of requesting the organization of several workshops at one institution, it is possible to culminate the classes in the form of a simulation of a court hearing.

We invite to cooperation all interested educational units located within the city limits of Poznań, Greater Poland voivodeship, and the entire country. In order to ensure the highest quality of the lectures presented, the dates and topics of the workshops are set individually and consulted with the scientific supervisors of the Legal Clinic of Adam Mickiewicz University.
